These three high-frequency verbs each get their own short, irregular futur stem, but just like avoir and être in our previous lesson, the endings stay completely regular.
1. Aller: stem ir-
| J'irai à Paris cet été. | I'll go to Paris this summer. |
| Nous irons au marché samedi. | We'll go to the market Saturday. |
2. Faire: stem fer-
| Je ferai la cuisine ce soir. | I'll cook tonight. |
| Il fera beau demain. | It'll be nice out tomorrow. |
3. Venir: stem viendr-
The same irregular pattern applies to tenir (tiendr-) and to compounds like revenir and devenir.
| Tu viendras avec nous ? | Will you come with us? |
| Elle deviendra médecin. | She'll become a doctor. |
